Amanda Zirzow at Battle of the Arts: Live Painting and Community Support

Battle of the Arts brought local artists and audiences together at Bell Tower Shops in 2021 for an evening built around live creativity and community support.

Hosted by Artsemble Underground, the series challenged participating artists to create original works within three hours. Visitors watched the paintings develop and could purchase tickets to vote for their favorites.

Guest judges selected works for recognition, while audience votes determined a People’s Choice award. Proceeds supported different nonprofit organizations through the series.

Amanda Zirzow’s participation offered a chance to share her process in a lively public setting. Organizers Cesar Aguilera and Brian Weaver created an environment where conversation, painting, and fundraising happened together.

Zirzow Gallery appreciates opportunities that connect artists with the community through the experience of making art.
