Tips for capturing great pet photos:
- Shoot at pet’s eye level, sit or lie on the floor, not from above your pet
- Use natural lighting either outside or indoors by the light of a nearby window.
- Get close to your pet and focus on their eyes.
- Be patient. Have someone attract your pet’s attention behind you while you shoot or hold a treat in your hand close to the camera. Try making a high pitched tone or whistle to get them in an alert pose.
Pet Photo FAQ’s
If you prefer a specific pose for your portrait, you have the option to upload more than one photo of your pet when you place your order. Just describe what you would like to see in the finished painting in the “Additional Instructions” field in the order form.
If you would like a pet painting portrait of more than one pet, but can’t get them all in one photo, you can upload multiple photos when you place your order. If you have any preference for positioning your pets, you will be able to specify in the “Additional Instructions” field in the order form.
